The InterHouse IT Competitions 2025 brought together some of the brightest tech minds across the school in a vibrant celebration of innovation, creativity, and collaboration. Held on August 1st, the daylong event featured a series of challenging and engaging competitions that spanned across various branches of technology - from programming and robotics to poster design and presentations. Here's a look at each event that made this year's edition a standout success.
InterHouse Quiz Competition
A crowd favorite, the InterHouse Quiz Competition was a highenergy event filled with excitement, tension, and a great deal of brainpower. Each house was represented by a twomember team, and the competition unfolded over several dynamic rounds.
Participants strategically selected questions from a grid, choosing their level of difficulty and category. The stakes were raised in the "Pounce" round, where teams could attempt to answer questions directed at their competitors for bonus points - a thrilling twist that kept everyone on their toes.
The Audio and Picture Round challenged participants to identify techrelated hardware images and sound clips, while the Rapid Fire Round tested their speed and coordination under pressure, with teams answering as many questions as possible in just 60 seconds.
This event not only showcased technical knowledge but also highlighted the importance of teamwork, quick thinking, and tactical decisionmaking. It was a memorable contest that left both participants and the audience thoroughly energized.

PosterMaking Competition (Classes 6 & 7)
The PosterMaking Competition, held for students of Classes 6 and 7, was a wonderful expression of creativity and awareness. With themes like Sustainable Technology and Cyber Bullying, students crafted visually impactful and thoughtprovoking posters.
The aim was to inspire young minds to think critically about the role of technology in our world today. The entries reflected a deep understanding of the topics, with artistic flair and originality. The enthusiasm of the participants and the quality of the posters made this event a true visual delight.

Programming Competition (Classes 9 & 10)
The Programming Competition was a platform for the techsavvy minds of Classes 9 and 10 to showcase their coding prowess. Teams of two from each house tackled problemsolving tasks using Java in the BlueJ IDE, tailored to their level of expertise.
Participants were challenged to write logical, efficient code and validate their solutions using predefined test data. Judges observed keenly to ensure discipline and fair play, while also appreciating creativity and problemsolving approaches.
The event promoted not just programming skills but also critical thinking, collaboration, and realworld application of coding knowledge - nurturing the next generation of software developers.

Robotics and Electronics Event
Merging hardware with innovation, the Robotics and Electronics Event tested students' ability to build and troubleshoot circuits using TinkerCAD Circuits and Arduinobased problem statements.
Each twomember team worked under pressure to interpret electronic schematics, write functioning code, and simulate their designs. Evaluation included handson testing and a Q&A session with judges, adding depth to the experience.
The competition succeeded in promoting a practical understanding of embedded systems and inspired a handson approach to learning about robotics and electronics.

Presentation Competition
The Presentation Competition challenged students to combine research, critical thinking, and presentation skills. Representing each house, twomember teams explored socially relevant and forwardlooking topics:

AI for Wildlife Conservation
Presentations were crafted and submitted in PowerPoint format, adhering strictly to guidelines-no videos, voiceovers, or plagiarism allowed. During the live event, students delivered their talks confidently within the 45 minute timeframe, followed by an interactive Q&A session with judges.
This event stood out for its emphasis on originality, clarity, and depth of research. It not only encouraged awareness of global issues but also enhanced the students' communication and collaboration skills.
