St. Stephen's School, Chandigarh organized a solemn ceremony of the Lamp of knowledge – cum – farewell for the students of Classes 9 and 10. The three day ceremony which began on 6th February 2014 was attended by students of the senior school and the faculty members of the school. The Headmaster Mr. Gerald Jacob conducted the ceremony where the students of Class 10 passed on the guiding light to their immediate juniors. The ceremony, which was quite poignant was also marked by utmost discipline and grace. The Lamp of Knowledge Ceremony was conducted on the first and the second day i.e; February 6 & 7, 2014.
On February 8, 2014, the students of Class 10 were given a memorable farewell where the hosts put in their best efforts to make it most enjoyable. The well decorated auditorium of the school remained abuzz with celebrations. The western and the fusion dance performances by the hosts mesmerised all and sundry. The group songs by the students of Classes 9 and 10 were enjoyed by everyone.
Various titles were also presented to the students of Class 10 on this occasion. Among the nineteen titles were the titles of Mister and Miss Stephenian, Mr. Michael Angelo, Ms. Nightingale, Ms. Taylor Swift, Master Blaster etc. Amidst a huge applause the titles of Mr. and Ms. Stephenian went to Yudhvir Kabuli and Insha Pandit. The Director, Mr. Harold Carver, the Headmaster Mr. Gerald Jacob and the School Management blessed the students and wished them luck for the coming board examinations.
